Thursday, April 2nd, instead of our regular meeting Parliament Hill Toastmasters will be at the Division E International Speech and Table Topics Contest, cheering on our two club members Dave (Table Topics) and Philippe-Antoine (International Speech Contest).

The contest is being held at the CHMC Building at 700 Montreal Road, and starts at 6 PM. Refreshments will be available from 5:30 PM.

Are you comfortable giving evaluations? Whether or not you are, it's never too late to learn more. And you can learn more at Parliament Hill Toastmasters March 26th meeting, where Norma Domey, DTM, will be presenting a speech titled "Evaluate to Motivate."

Distinguished Toastmaster Norma Domey was the District 61, Division C, Governor in 2007/2008 and is currently campaigning to be the Lieutenant Governor of Marketing for District 61. As a passionate member of Toastmasters she belongs to no less than 3 Toastmasters clubs. Norma is constantly giving back to Toastmasters as a club sponsor and mentor, workshop presenter, Division contest chair, and TLI trainer. Her take on evaluations is sure to be interesting.

The Area 44 Table Topics and Internation Speech contest took place on March 16th, and Parliament Hill Toastmasters took the top prize in both contest! Dave placed first in the Table Topics contest, while Philippe-Antoine took the top prize in the Internation Speech contest.

Next step for both winners is the  Division E Table Topics and Internation Speech contest, which takes place on Thursday, April 2nd, at the CHMC building, 700 Montreal Road.

Parliament Hill Toastmasters is pleased to announce that Sue Dalati, DTM, will be our special guest speaker at our Open House on Thursday, March 12th! Sue is the past Toastmasters Distric 61 Governor and a candidate for the next International Director of Toastmasters International. She has received numerous industry awards in the field of Information Management, and has held leadership positions in many local charities. 

There will be 2 other speakers in additional to Sue, including Philippe who will be giving a reprise of the speech he will be giving at the Area 44 International Speech contest. It is a great line up, so if you have ever wanted to visit a Toastmaster club, this will be the night to do it.
