The November 20th meeting of Parliament Hill Toastmasters will be in Room 106A in the Bronson Centre, located at 211 Bronson Avenue. Also remember that meetings are starting at 6:30 pm sharp. We know it's been an awkward couple of months while we search for a new permanent home. We hope to be settled down soon. Please check our web site frequently for the latest news about out meeting location. |

Many of our members would like our meetings to start and finish a little earlier, to better fit into our schedules. Therefore, as an experiment, Parliament Hill Toastmaster club meetings will now begin at 6:30pm (instead of 7pm). We will review this change in 2009, and if the majority of members like the new start time we will make 6:30pm start times permanent. |

Congratulations to Dave for winning the Area 44 Humourous Speech Contest held on Thursday, October 16th. There were 2 other very worthy competitors from Ottawa Hospital Toastmasters and Laughing Matters Toastmasters, but Dave managed to come out on top! Next stop is the Division E finals, which take place on Wednesday, October 29th in the CMHC building at 700 Montreal Road. Let's all be there and show Dave our support! |

Parliament Hill Toastmasters Club would like to congratulate Dave Isaacs, winner of the Humourous Speech content, and Philippe-Antoine Rioux, winner of the Evaluation contest. And Kudos to all the contest participants for making the contest a success! The PHTM winnersgo on to compete in the Area 44 Humourous Speech and Evaluation contest, which will take place Thursday, October 16th, 2008 in the upstairs meeting hall of the Montgomery Legion, 330 Kent Street. Contestant briefings start at 5:30 pm, and the contest starts at 6 pm. Let's all show up and cheer on Dave and Philippe-Antoine! |
