A Toastmasters meeting is a team effort. For a meeting to run effectively there are a number of roles to be filled by the members of the club.

Some of the roles are more involved than others, but each role represents an important part of a Toastmasters meeting. If you are a new Toastmaster performing a role for the first time, print out the role description and take it with you to the meeting for reference. Don't worry if you find a role intimidating. Observe a seasoned Toastmaster performing a role during your meetings before volunteering for the role yourself. Remember that at sometime every Toastmaster, even the most experienced, had to fill a role for the first time.
